Curious about the wet spot.

I went there today to do a photoshoot, and I got the grand tour. I had no idea what the 'center for sex positive culture' was, and now that i know, i'm very interested! My partner and I have been toying with the idea of visiting some outlet just like it for a while. I've also noticed that the circle of people around it seems to interlock with other circles we're in.

Should I test the waters? Should I just jump in? I'm very curious what my first experience at the wet spot would be like, but I suppose I should just leave my inhibitions at the door. Anyone have any insight? Can anyone share any stories about their first visit to the wet spot, or other places like it? Any dialog is greatly appreciated!

There was another post like this a few weeks ago. My basic advice: each night has a different theme/point/crowd. I would suggest looking at their calendar (one or two weeks at a time) to see what best fits your interests.

I would suggest going to the Thursday night Grind if you're new to play parties as it's part industrial/goth dance and play party. Otherwise... take a look around, sample and find a night where you're comfortable and have fun!

Agreed, Roxy! There's something at the Center for everyone, and now with Monday night and Tuesday afternoon playtimes, there's something happening every day of the week!

You can also come to a drop-in night on Tuesdays to meet people and ask questions. The introductions are very informative, and there's no pressure at any time to participate in anything or with anyone you're not ready for.

      Hope to see you there!

I would suggest meeting up with some people so you can get introduced around. Most people who go to the Center are there to do something, and don't rarely go out of their way to meet people that are new. However, as a rule, they are very open to be introduced to new people. I hung around on the edges until I had someone start introducing me around and then the next time I went in, I had people return my smiles and hellos and conversations were had.

I'm a fan of Thursday nights, myself. In fact, Jim and I are planning to play there this Thursday. If I you see us there, grab me, I'll be sure to introduce you around.
